What is ‘Music Makes Change’ (MMC)?

"Founder & artist/singer-songwriter, Norman Vladimir, believes that "one hour of your time can change the world"

…and that is why he is excited to invite you to experience his new impact platform Music Makes Change (MMC) that combines ARTIST, AWARENESS, & ACTION all in one event.

MMC is a platform that celebrates both artists and local organizations and brings them together in a way that is entertaining, engaging, and impactful.

MMC is intimate and open, and it allows us to (re)connect, to feel the power of music, and to make lasting positive change in our communities, through civic engagement.

Just one hour of your time can change the world.

Musicians are the storytellers of our lives - they sing, write, and reflect our world...

so, who better than they to be the change agents we need to inspire us to make things better.

The idea is simple: ARTIST, AWARENESS, ACTION.

HOW IT WORKS:

Each edition of MMC is centered around a theme/idea, i.e: loneliness; climate change / environmentalism;

health & wellness; etc.

Each presentation will have three (3) parts:

1. A live music performance based on the selected event theme (ARTIST)

2. A conversation/discussion of the theme with the musician and a chosen local organization that does work

based on that theme. (AWARENESS)

3. Every attendee must then sign up for 1 hour of volunteer/community work with the local

organization - and this must be completed within the next month. (ACTION)

About Music Makes Change

Meet the Founder - Norman Vladimir

Norman Vladimir - (photo by Nathalie Hennis)From Norman Vladimir: “I was inspired to create MMC from my own experiences of being a musician and expat. I wanted to find a new way to connect to people and to my local community, and to create a local impact, and I wanted others to feel that same transformative power of music. MMC is that platform that will allow us to (re)connect to each other, to feel the power of music, and to make a lasting positive change in our communities through civic engagement. Asking for just one hour of your time to volunteer after the event with a local organization. Just one hour can change the world - for yourself and for someone else.”The idea is simple: ARTIST, AWARENESS, ACTION.One hour of service can change the world.
