Music was always there...
As a child in my small town in Tennessee, I would listen to my parents sing gospel music in church, but my journey into music began with an old player piano and an audition for a classical children's choral group at the age of 8, which led to me sing with country music stars Amy Grant & Vince Gill, performances with the Nashville Symphony, singing for members of Congress in Washington, D.C., the inauguration of the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, PA, and a UN General Assembly in New York City.
At university, while studying History, I continued with my love of music by joining a variety of groups: the University's Glee Club (Men's Chorus), the university's oldest a capella group, the Virginia Gentlemen, and various cover bands and side music projects.
After graduation, I moved to New York City to pursue a few career paths from journalism, to law, to even working for a while in the art auction world, but after many late nights of open mics, booking shows, earning residencies, and securing the opportunity to sing for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the nationally televised Kennedy Center Honors, honoring my director Bill T. Jones along with Oprah and Paul McCartney, my career path decision was solidified.
““Beyond knowing Norman as an exceptional musician and good friend (for nearly two decades!), I personally recruited him to teach a chorus course at our Saturday enrichment program for middle schoolers, which I used to run. In true Norman fashion, despite having never worked in that particular situation, he jumped in - with gusto - and excelled. It is a true pleasure to have worked with him, and to have seen him share his love and knowledge of music with students.”

About 3 years ago, I left New York City to move to Europe to expand the reach of my music, and solidify my career as an international artist. While here, I've also grown my work as a US Native Voiceover artist, doing commercial work for companies such as Audi, KLM, Coca-Cola, and Kayak.com to name a few.
So, what I want to do is share the knowledge and skills I've gained from this journey with you. If you are interested in learning piano, singing (voice), or if you want to learn/improve your US English skills/speaking, sign up below to find out more. I can also work with you to craft a skills workshop in either music or speaking for your company/organization.
